I know many people dislike blog reviews. But I love them - it is one of the fastest ways I can discover other interesting blogs. Who knows - it might be one that you will end up reading for a long time.
This is not a paid nor solicited review. Funnily enough, the blog owner will probably skip it too. He hates to read blog reviews! Which means I get to be really honest about his blog. But hey, with a blog that’s been around for less than 6 months, I think it packs great content, look and feel, and has impressive results to show, especially in terms of traffic.
Now, just who is Shaun Low?
Says there on his About page that he is a young aspiring Canadian in Edmonton. Why he still aspires to be a Canadian when he already is, I do not know. But he is well on his way to fulfilling his aspirations of providing his readers insights on investing, making money blogging and other related topics.

So how does ShaunLow.com make my surfing time there worthwhile?
A high percentage of his posts provide quality content, with insights gathered from his own personal testing. He has an excellent definitive StumbleUpon guide - where I learnt how to correctly leverage on SU to gather sticky traffic. There is also a pretty good 5-part tutorial in the works on increasing your blog traffic - and you know he is doing something right with stats like these (from 5th Aug to Sep):
You can view a detailed breakdown here.
Shaun provides in-depth explanations of whichever topic he goes into. They all come over very well-researched. The only drawback is the post length. But what’s 5 - 10 minutes of your time reading and learning something useful?
Is it all seriousness with ShaunLow.com?
The guy teaches, but shares just as much on his personal life (which is not much now with school) and other interests (guys love cars). Shaun is also mighty approachable - leave a comment and it never goes unanswered. To top it off, he understands the power of reciprocity, often spreading the word about other quality blog posts. Readers also receive some link love if they contribute to the community.
Why should I read Shaun Low, when there is John Chow?
Because ShaunLow.com has recently upgraded his site design and shares the same designer as John Chow - so you know you’re getting a decent look. :) The site loads fast, even for pages with loads of graphics.
With a busy personal schedule, Shaun might not post as much compared to many other blogs. I could see the post frequency increasing this week which is a good thing given the amount of information he provides. Also, when such useful posts, I cannot imagine how interesting his newsletter would be. May I include that he is a born teacher? Especially if you’re trying to learn how things really work in the blogosphere, you’d want to bookmark his site for regular reference. You know you have a companion on the path, because he has the same aspirations as many of us.

8@ Dana & GnomeyNewt - I get quite a lot of tips just by reading his posts!
@ GnomeyNewt - yup, I really like blog reviews - it’s almost impossible to throw pebbles into the Internet ocean and hope to find a good blog just like that - so reviews do help both ways.
